Surprisingly good burgers. Didn’t feel out of place with the regular locals. Great service from staff. Reminded me of a one of my hometown dive bars, this 5 stars for atmosphere.
Good burger and pizza. Service was fast and friendly. Full of fun locals. Awesome pool tables. Definitely a dive bar. Loved it. Update- still love it. My boyfriend and I stopped in a couple nights ago with our new pup. We weren't sure if they'd let us bring in him, but they did, as long as we kept him on a leash and under control. No problem for us at all. We were immediately welcomed by locals and the staff were beyond friendly. The bartender (Rhonda?) is an absolute sweetheart and the owner is a gem. Everyone took time to talk to us and all the patrons were friendly. We come to Ocean Park every year, and we will always take time to pop in for a cold beer and friendly conversation with the locals at Doc's.
First time here but what a great local's bar! Friendly patrons, friendly staff, and the pool tables are top notch! We will definitely visit again next time we are in town.
Great service. Neat little tavern for a beer and a bite to eat. Also, they have pull tabs and punch cards with hecka prizes. Like cheese, cribbage boards, statues, or cold hard cash. Ambiance is exactly what you'd expect and the place has plenty of room for your group.
This place is weird and great! Very friendly, plus old-timey legal gambling! You can win prizes like: - "a can of smoked oysters"! - "chicken or asparagus"! - "XXX"? - "ram cleaner"! - "1/3 LB beef patties"! - "planters peanuts"! - "doc's cap"! - "slot dog"! - "mixed goodies"!
Great place, great people, cash only and pull tab prizes for days. My kinda place. Will be back every time I visit... and I don’t even drink. Never change, Doc’s!
Christina Pickering is one of the best people you’ll meeet. She’s a strong women and the moment you meet her you know you’re in the right place. Dive bar? Yep. Lil country? Yup. Just be honest and happy. Males bathroom has some nuddies too. Just make sure you look up. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
